My father Lolito Correa Fulleros filed the Filipino Veterans Equity compensation fund and it was approved. He passed away last December 26, 2009. This evening, our househelp from Sorsogon, Philippines ( Bicol Region) texted me and informed me that FedEx came by, supposedly to deliver a package/mail. We are assuming that it may be the check from US. I’ve read that spouses may claim the benefit in behalf of the eligible Veteran should the latter pass away before receiving it. Unfortunately, my mother passed away 2 years ago, March 27, 2007. My brothers and I would now like to inquire if we, the children of the deceased War Veteran, may claim the benefit due him, as we are the legitimate beneficiaries. If so, how may we contact your good office to receive the required information that would answer our inquiries. We are sincerely hoping for your swift response regarding this matter. Thank you very much.
